Citroen XM
By Solido. A limited edition French dealership model from the '80s, and it is becoming very hard to find. I have purchased this from a seller in the Netherlands. It's a beautiful model, but the build quality is not very good (MotorMax feels like an AutoArt in comparison). It's also by far the most fragile 1/18 diecast that I have. Problem is that the entire top half of the car (windows, pillars AND the roof) is all made of very thin plastic. So be careful if you are getting it thru eBay. I have seen people converting these to a convertible because the top was ruined...and trust me, you don't want to do that...

Saab 900 Turbo Convertible
By Anson. What I like about eBay is that once in a while, they have some incredible deals for collectors. I've always wanted this model, and I've been looking at its price going though the roof on eBay. Then one day, all of the sudden, it comes out on the market with "Buy it Now", at the original retail price !

Renault Safrane
By Solido. Few years ago, I went around Europe looking for this model, couldn't find it, so I came back to the U.S. and one day, Voila!, found it in a Wisconsin-based toy store catalogue (duh). . .

BMW M3 GTR / E36
Street Version. By UT. I wasn't thinking much when I picked up this particular model at a diecast store in New York City several years ago. Just thought it was really cool looking. Then, UT brand disappeared (or did it merge with Minichamps ? not sure), and few years later, the price on eBay skyrocketed. . . This one is probably worth it though.

Acura / Honda NSX
By Kyosho. What is so special about Kyosho, in general, is that they REALLY do limit the production of high quality diecast cars. That would explain why one of the most desired 1/18 diecast among the collectors right now, is 1/18 Toyota Supra and Nissan 300ZX by Kyosho. Sadly, their value has appreciated to the point where I can no longer afford them. . .
